For a first-time applicant, SCFHS separates Professional Classification from Professional Registration. Classification is the first step and may include professional evaluation; registration follows before the practitioner begins work in Saudi Arabia.
1. Create a Mumaris+ account
Create or sign in to Mumaris+ and select the Professional Classification service. If your qualification is not listed as recognized, SCFHS may require a Qualification Study first.
2. Prepare your classification documents
Prepare the required qualification, internship/training and academic records, professional registration/license or applicable experience evidence, identification, and other documents required for your case.
3. Complete credential verification
For applicable foreign qualifications, professional registration, and experience documents, complete verification through the SCFHS-approved verification process and obtain the final verification result.
4. Submit Professional Classification Application
Submit the Professional Classification application through Mumaris+. SCFHS reviews the qualification, professional background, verification results, and applicable classification requirements.
5. Complete the Physiotherapy Specialist Exam โ if assigned
If SCFHS assigns an electronic written examination as part of your professional evaluation, book and take the Physiotherapy Specialist classification exam. For Smart Prepster preparation, use the exam structure and blueprint shown above.
6. Receive Professional Classification
After you satisfy the applicable SCFHS classification and evaluation requirements, the Professional Classification is issued.
7. Apply for Professional Registration
After classification, apply for Professional Registration through Mumaris+. For non-Saudi applicants, registration requires lawful residence in Saudi Arabia and the applicable registration documents.
8. Receive registration and begin professional practice
This is the stage that allows the practitioner to begin professional practice in Saudi Arabia, subject to applicable employment and regulatory requirements.
